“A String of Unfortunate Events” is an apology letter written by Nick Burchill addressed to the Empress Hotel, in attempt to explain his side of the story and lift his 18-year ban. Seagull Book re-tells the story in the form of a news-print accordion book, where every spread opens up into a poster as the reader recounts the events through Nick’s point of view.
